Με τη νέα αναβάθμιση, δημιουργείται το ‘turbo mode’ που δίνει 50% επιπλέον επιδόσεις για τον υπολογιστή με το μέγεθος της πιστωτικής κάρτας…
Το 1GHz turbo mode upgrade δίνει τη δυνατότητα να έχει κανείς την επιλογή των 1GHz με τα overclock presets στο raspi-config. Το δε Raspberry Pi Foundation είπε: “We are happy that the combination of only applying turbo when busy, and limiting turbo when the BCM2835′s internal temperature reaches 85°C, means there will be no measurable reduction in the lifetime of your Raspberry Pi.”
Εξαρτάται πάντως να το δικό σας Raspberry Pi διαχειρίζεται τα 1GHz overclock με την επίσημη δήλωση να λέει ακόμη: “If you choose too high an overclock, your Pi may fail to boot, in which case holding down the shift key during boot up will disable the overclock for that boot, allowing you to select a lower level.”
